Reporting illegal content

Anyone can tell us about content on Joyn that they believe is illegal, whether or not they have a Joyn account. Members can also use Report in the app. To report, email support@joynevents.com and include:

• Why you believe the content is illegal.
• Where it is: a link, or enough detail for us to find it, such as the event, conversation, or member it appears in.
• Your name and email address. You can leave these out if the report concerns child sexual abuse material.
• A statement that you believe, in good faith, that the report is accurate and complete.

We confirm that we received the report, review it without undue delay, and tell you what we decided and how you can contest it. If content suggests that someone's life or safety is at risk, we inform the police.

Authorities of EU member states, the European Commission, and the European Board for Digital Services can reach us at support@joynevents.com, as can members and anyone else who uses Joyn. You can write to us in English, Danish, French, German, Norwegian, Spanish, or Swedish.

Copyright claims under US law

If you believe content on Joyn infringes a copyright that you own or may act for, you can send a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated copyright agent: Joyn Events AS, Attn: Copyright Agent, Fossen 20, 1530 Moss, Norway, support@joynevents.com. Include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• The copyrighted work you believe is infringed, or a list if the notice covers several works.
• The content you believe infringes it, with a link or enough detail for us to find it, such as the event, conversation, or member it appears in.
• Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a valid notice, we remove the content or block access to it, and tell the member who posted it, including how to send a counter-notice. Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that content infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages under US law.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed after a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• The content that was removed, and where it appeared before it was removed.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, postal address, and phone number.
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for the judicial district where your address is, or, if your address is outside the United States, of any judicial district in which Joyn Events AS may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

We send your counter-notice, including your name and contact details, to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court to stop the infringement, we restore the content 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe other people's copyright. This route adds to the one for reporting illegal content above and does not limit any other right you have.
